The IAAF London Marathon 2017
Following the great feat of the Virgin London Marathon, the IAAF Marathon highlights the best runners in the world competing for the fastest time.
Taking place on the 6th August, this Marathon is a mean feat. This year’s event will be the 16th in the event’s 34-year history, with the first being hosted in Helsinki in 1983.
The most recent Championship was in Beijing in August 2015, which saw 1931 athletes participating from over 200 countries.
With some of the fastest runners in the world currently being present in many of the athletics competitions, this year’s spectacle is likely to be an amazing performance of passion, ability, and sheer strength and stamina.
Alongside the Marathon run there will be the World Championships taking place in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and tickets are still available to purchase for those interested in attending.
